This past winter, we enrolled 20 Builders into our second Tulsa based Builders + Backers Idea Accelerator. We saw these Builders through a 45-day Bootcamp of intense learning and then 45 days of experimentation in the community. Their experiments were powered by $5,000 Pebble Funds from Heartland Forward and the George Kaiser Family Foundation.
To say we are proud of their hard work and excited about their new ventures would be an understatement. From the creative Plant and Sip events where community participants got a chance to learn about plants while enjoying a cocktail to the development of the first platform for Black and melanated sports media creators, our Builders were out there turning ideas into reality. They also learned how to test ideas in ways that were low-fidelity and low-cost, including using low/no code tools. This skillset is key to taking next steps and continuing to build their ventures.
We look forward to hosting our third Tulsa based Builders + Backers Idea Accelerator and know we will continue to be thrilled with all of the Tulsa talent!
